Set in a converted 19th century abbey belonging to the order of the Barefoot Carmelite Friars of Venice, the Abbazia Hotel is located in the Cannaregio district of Venice. The hotel is just 150 meters from Venice's main transport hub, the Santa Lucia railway station. Rooms have simple modern dTcor, with patterned fabric and original exposed beams. Many of the guestrooms have views onto the inner garden; all have cable television, and work desks with Internet connections.
The Hotel Abbazia's baroque chapel features a Carrara marble fatade, gold friezes and 18th century statues of the Madonna, Mary Magdalene, John the Baptist and Saint Sebastian. There are scheduled bus services to Padua, Mestre and Venice. Venice Mestre railway station is connected to the airport by a bus service that runs every 0 minutes. The easiest way to get around Venice is on foot, by vaporetto (public transport), or water taxi.
